Day 0: WBC Starts With One Person

WBC is now publicly defined as the community and collective-action layer for the AI work transition, with WBClub and WBCoffee as club-like and venture-like small-team forms. WBC is the shared abbreviation for WorkBuddyClub and WorkBuddyCoffee.

It starts with Mark as an OPC. We are not pretending that a full team, a mature business model, a chain system, or external validation already exists. We want to place the birth of an AI-native company on an interface that both humans and agents can understand.

Two names

WorkBuddyClub is the community layer. It brings together people interested in AI-native work, OPC work patterns, and work-friendly spaces close to home. Not everyone needs to open a coffee shop, but everyone can help understand, discuss, and build the idea.

WorkBuddyCoffee is the potential physical-space layer. We use the work-friendly coffee space as a concrete goal while testing whether a store-opening playbook, supply chain, operating methods, and community can become a repeatable business capability.

Why build in public

Build in Public gives the project a continuously updated interface with the outside world.

Build in Loop turns collaboration among Mark, Ben, Owen, and Joy into work that can be executed, checked, reviewed, and improved instead of remaining only a conversation.

The two directions meet on this website: released information passes through a release gate, then becomes a human-readable page and a structured discovery interface for agents.

Current facts

• WBC is in pre-shipment.
• The website infrastructure is the first public building action.
• There are currently no customers, revenue, stores, franchise system, or confirmed supply-chain partnerships.
• Rich documents, internal excitement, and content views do not count as business validation.

What WBC is not

WBC is not a conventional coffee-chain franchise project or a promise of store returns.

What we are doing now is placing a real question, a real person, and an AI-native way of working inside one sustainable project, then allowing evidence from reality to determine what comes next.

The site will gradually record public building actions, major choices, external feedback, and Loop Reads. Only content that passes the release gate appears here.

Humans can follow the project through the site. Agents can enter the same released information through agent-interface, /content-index.json, /llms.txt, and raw Markdown.
